Product rinse sterility test
Combination product: Our innovative product rinse sterility test is specifically designed for hollow tube products, such as infusion and infusion sets. When labeled as sterile in fluid channels, this method provides an effortless and efficient solution. By integrating liquid D rinse with FTM media, the eluate undergoes membrane filtration and is then placed in FTM and SCDM. This method, although not frequently employed, offers a strategic approach tailored for products that are not amenable to soaking procedures.

Our bulk biologics are subjected to rigorous sterility testing under the auspices of 21 CFR 610.12. This rigorous protocol demands the utilization of a medium (FTM) with sample test sizes meticulously documented, featuring a minimum capacity of 10 ml, to guarantee absolute reliability.


Interpretation of sterility test results
In the cultivation process, technicians undergo comprehensive training in growth testing methodologies. Growth is meticulously monitored by examining a generally transparent medium against a light source, where turbidity signifies microbial proliferation. Upon detection of growth, a detailed examination of the suspect container is conducted to ascertain that the turbidity is genuinely due to microbial activity and not from sample decomposition. Occasionally, cloudiness results from particle shedding or a chemical reaction with the medium. After validation, samples return to the incubator to complete the incubation cycle. Any medium exhibiting turbidity is transferred and meticulously monitored over four days, culminating on the 14th test day.
